THERE NEEDS TO BE A SERIOUS OVERHAUL OF THE COMPANY! I HAVE COME TO REALIZE THAT MY EGOTISTICAL WAYS HAVE BEEN A HAMPER FOR THE NAW, BUT MY UNTIMELY LOST AT THE HANDS OF TEAM LETHAL MADE ME UNDERSTAND THE HUMILITY OF THE BUSINESS. NOW, AS I WANT TO HELP OTHERS, I OFFER THIS ADVICE. IF YOU DON'T FIT THE BUSINESS, LEAVE THE BUSINESS. HERE ARE A FEW SIGNS(IN THE FORM OF A "YOU MIGHT BE A...")
IF YOU WEAR A SHIRT TO THE RING, AND DON'T TAKE IT OFF TO WORK.... YOU MIGHT NOT BE A WRESTLER.
IF YOU DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE GEAR(AND VOLLEYBALL KNEE PADS UNDER YOUR CARGO SHORTS DON'T COUNT).... YOU MIGHT NOT BE A WRESTLER.
IF YOU WERE NOT TRAINED AT A REAL WRESTLING SCHOOL OR BY A REAL VETERAN... YOU MIGHT NOT BE A WRESTLER.
IF THE MAJORITY OF YOUR "WORK" HAS BEEN IN SOMEONE'S BACKYARD... YOU MIGHT NOT BE A WRESTLER.
IF YOU HAVE NEVER STEPPED FOOT IN A GYM, OR HAVE NEVER PICKED UP WEIGHTS, OR EVEN RAN A LAP OR TWO.... YOU MIGHT NOT BE A WRESTLER.
I MAY NOT BE THE TALLEST, BIGGEST, MOST CUT GUY, NOR DO I CLAIM TO BE THE BEST WORKER, BUT I HAVE TRAINED WITH SOME OF THE BEST, NOT ONLY IN FLORIDA, BUT IN THIS BUSINESS PERIOD. I HAVE ALSO BEEN A PROMOTER OF ONE OF LAST YEAR'S BEST SHOWS. TO BE A SUCCESSFUL SHOW, YOU NEED TWO THINGS: GREAT BOOKING AND REAL WORKERS. NOT NECESSARILY THE BEST THE STATE HAS TO OFFER, BUT GUYS WHO CAN WORK, TECHNICALLY AND(MORE IMPORTANTLY) PSYCHOLOGICALLY. YOU NEED PEOPLE THAT CAN TELL A STORY AND MAKE THE CROWD BELIEVE. YOU ALSO NEED A STORY TO TELL, AND THATS WHERE THE BOOKING COMES IN.
THIS POST WILL HOPEFULLY EMPOWER EVERYONE TO DO WHATS RIGHT FOR NAW. FOR THE BEST, SOME PEOPLE MUST STEP UP, WHILE OTHERS SHOULD JUST STEP OFF. LET THE NAW BE THE GREATEST PROMOTION OF 2007.

Ok, so apparently my rantings have gone unwarranted and unheard. Fine. I only had the best interests of the company at heart. Yet, no one wants to man up and say anything, whether you agree or disagree with me. So, I wash my hands of the NAW. I am stepping down as Partner. I will not be part of a shamble of a show. I have talked to every person in this business who I trust, and they all agree with me.
I have been brought up in this business over the last 2 years with soem of the best, not only in Florida, but in this business. I've been trained by Steve Keirn, Buck Quartermaine, Lex Lovett, Rod Steel, Steve Madison, Erik Stevens, Michael Patrick, Sean Waltman, and "Gorgeous Boy" Shane(the "Hulk Hogan" of Puerto Rico, and if you don't know who that is, get out of the business). I have wrestled Eddie Taurus, Torcher, Legion Cage, Nooie Lee, Bruce Santee, Chris Nelson, Kahagas, Vordell Walker, Ray Beez, Matt Bentley, HBX, Scott Davis, Modern Day Theory, and many other greats in this state. I have learned from the best, and have been told that I have a better grasp on this business than most. So, forgive me if this seems egotistical, but I think I might know what I'm talking bout here.
I know loyalty and friendship are a big thing for some people, as it is with me. But not in this business. Your friends will get you nowhere in wrestling. You've got to be able to put out the best product. So, being blinded by friendship will only kill you. Take a step back and really look at yourself , and everyone around you in this business.
Again, the NAW has a golden opportunity. Feds have been dropping left and right, Work is harder to come by, and with the emminent arrival of the new WWE developmental school this fall(which will udderly destroy the indy scene around here) NAW has a chance to finish on top. Get rid of the stragglers, and go for the juggular. Make some deals, call in some favors, get some money together and put on a show that everyone will remember long past the possible end of florida Wrestling.
If the proper moves and precautions can be taken, than do it, and I'll help. If not, and you want to continue to run like that wonderful NFW debacle, so be it, I will have no part, and I wash my hands of it all.

I say thank you for your advice vinny but you also forgot about heart! see if you have heart and determination it doesn't realy matter all that much if you can't afford pro gear or a gym membership!.. i might wrestle in a shirt but it's cause i have the body of a god (too bad it's budah) but come on man you have to admit heart does make the man the image just helps.

No, I totally disagree. Heart is neccessary to have a long career, for you will be humiliated, stomped on, insulted, and crushed, both pyshically and emotionally. Heart keeps you going, but doesn't get you bookings. Nor does heart get you paid. "Heart makes the man" is a cop-out for those not willing to make the neccessary sacrifices. Right now, I am sidelined from action due to Post Concussion Syndrome and othe medical reasons til at least August. But, I still train every week, and spend money on said training, and do what it is that I have to do to make sure that, when I return, I will be at the top of my game, in both skill and looks. T-shirts in the ring screams backyard bullshitters, and they don't belong. Period.

Raven, Justin Credible. Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Brooklyn Brawler, Big Boss Man, BAM BAM Bigelowe, Barry Windom, Bobby Duncum, Erik Watts, Balls Mahoney, Axel Rotten, Josh Prohibition, Matt Cross, Jeff Peterson, Naphtali, Sting, Samoa Joe, Amazing Red, And Many, Many more have been notoriously known for wrestling in T Shirts. It is shallow and close minded to think other wise, I have tapes of DR Wrestling every show in a cut off metallica t shirt from NSW for almost a year.
I agree having gear is a big deal, and I prefer a person with tights and a singlet over a person with a t shirt and shorts. But that doesnt mean they are less skilled. I knew a guy in NSW called Grandmaster ROB E. he had some fantastic gear but blew nuts in the ring. Meanwhile Jasin (kid lethal) Sane was wearing basketball shorts and aweing the crowd. Skill determines "bookings"!

my point exactly not to offend but y are you so hung up on backyard origins and expensive gear..i'm broke i make due..i may not get booked in many fed but i would rather be well known in one fed and be able to pay my bills than have all the correct gear wrestle for five feds and not be able to but a dr. pepper...
